We are delighted to announce that the Municipal Campsite of L’Hippodrome is open again and ready to welcome you from April 4th to September 27th, 2026.

Set on 3 hectares of lush green land with direct access to the Sarthe River, the campsite enjoys an ideal location just a short distance from the town centre.

THE CAMPSITE

The campsite offers 71 pitches, including :

cottage with 2 bedrooms
1 cottage with 3 bedrooms
2 eco-nature chalets
3 wooden “Authentique” chalets, including 1 equipped for guests with disabilities
2 “Campétoiles” tent-style structures

The campsite also features a dedicated area for group receptions.

Electric terminals providing 2 to 4 outlets (16 amps) are available on all pitches. Outlets are compatible with both French and European plugs.

Six water points are conveniently located on the site.

At the centre of the campsite, you will find two sanitary blocks adapted for people with reduced mobility, including walk-in showers, a washbasin, toilets, and chemical toilet facilities.

Pets are welcome on the campsite grounds, provided they are kept on a leash.

They are not allowed in rental accommodations.

FREE WIFI is available throughout the entire campsite.

Pétanque area
Activities for all ages: play areas (from age 6), cycling, table tennis, and more
On-site bicycle and canoe rentals. In the Sarthe Valley, you will also find a wide variety of outdoor and leisure activities, as well as lovely family-friendly walks that reveal a heritage often overlooked.

At the campsite, you will also find : a bread delivery service, laundry facilities, a small convenience store, ice cream and local product sales (including artisanal ice cream), tourist information, a library, a television room, and free-use barbecues.

We remain at your disposal, both before and after your stay, to provide all the information you may need to ensure your holiday is perfect and unforgettable.
